The Cutout Encyclopedia
The Cutout Encyclopedia is an endless search-and-find wall built from real encyclopaedia photographs with their backgrounds removed. Hundreds of unrelated objects — a noh mask, a coffee mug, a dolphin, a lava boulder, an oil tanker, a mushroom, a wristwatch — float loose on white at wildly different sizes, packed without a grid. Search the wall by concept or by colour, tap any object to read its encyclopaedia entry with image credit and licence, pin finds to a persistent collection, and pull up a 'Your finds' summary. Content is fetched live from the public Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons APIs, and the app ships with an embedded offline starter set so the wall is full on first paint.
