Volcanic Basin
Volcanic Basin is a meditative tide-pool gardening app set in a black-sand volcanic basin. Each visit the tide has shifted, drifting new ember-species seeds into the pool. Tap to plant seeds in rock-pool niches, then stroke anemones and kelp to make them react and shimmer. Plants keep growing between sessions — localStorage timestamps drive offscreen growth so the garden quietly matures while you're away, moving through visibly distinct growth stages. Water caustics ripple across the surface and plants sway to your touch. When you finish, you get a tide-pool portrait card with a day counter and species tally that you can share to the community, or replay to start a fresh tide.
