AccessPath NYC
AccessPath NYC is a mobile-first navigation app built specifically for New Yorkers with physical disabilities and mobility aid users. Searches ADA-verified routes across MTA subway, bus, and walking paths using NYC open data. Displays real-time elevator and escalator status per transit leg, with instant alternate route suggestions when impediments are detected. Shows an accessibility confidence score on every route with a last-verified timestamp. Lets users leave community footnotes with hyperlinks to 311 reports and NYC open data records. Supports Yelp-style accessibility reviews for places, buildings, and transit stops. Built to WCAG 2.1 AA standards throughout — screen reader compatible, keyboard navigable, and voice-interface friendly.
