Kelp Holdfast
Kelp Holdfast is a calm, tactile reef-growing app set on a kelp forest floor. Each visit you place polyp seeds by tapping and aim the current flow by dragging; between visits the polyps calcify into branching coral whose shape follows where you seeded flow. Once your coral passes size gates you can tap fish eggs to hatch permanent residents that weave through your architecture. Over days the reef becomes distinctly yours, accreting growth rings and inhabitants. The result is a reef-head portrait card with growth rings and residents that you can share to the community or replay. Fully touch-based, mobile portrait, English and Chinese, with no login, no music, and no external services.
