Cogita
Cogita is a dual-mode web app that connects students with a Socratic AI tutor that never gives direct answers, only guiding questions that help them think through problems themselves. Students chat freely about any subject — math, science, history, essays — and the AI adapts to their grade level. After each session, the app measures cognitive indices including Zone of Proximal Development, persistence, autonomy, cognitive load, Bloom's taxonomy level, and self-efficacy, then generates a plain-language summary for parents with one actionable step. Parents see a dashboard with six research-backed cognitive scores, weekly trends, a color-coded subject map, and session history. The app uses Eazo Built-in Auth with parent-password and child-passcode mode-switching, Built-in Database for session storage, Built-in AI for the Socratic tutor and summary generation, and supports photo uploads for homework help.
